About
DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) is a colourless sugar that makes the self-tanning process. It reacts with the skin's proteins, developing a brown skin colouring that takes 6-10 hours to develop. The tan fades as the dead layers of skin slough off as in normal tanning. The darker you can tan naturally, the darker you can tan with a spray tan.
A trial spray tan is always recommended for photographic sessions, modelling assignments, or weddings.
Formula
The solution that I use is organic, vegan, and cruelty-free. It if formulated of hydrating ingredients that will give you a natural-looking tan and the best looking skin.
Organic Ingredients
Contains organic ingredients: Aloe Vera, Jojoba, Green Tea, Vitamin E.
Leave on time is 6-12 hours. Immediate drying.
Before your spray tan appointment
Completely exfoliating before applying and re-applying will enhance the results as well as shaving 12-24 hours before your spray tan. Waxing should be done 3 days before and Laser Hair Removal either 2 weeks before or 4 days after a spray tan.
Avoid wearing deodorant, makeup, perfume, or lotions on your skin as they can create a barrier on the skin and create an uneven tan.
After your spray tan appointment
Avoid all water or activities that will cause perspiration until after your first shower.
Avoid long and hot baths, showers, hot tubs, as well as chlorinated or salt water pools as this can shorter the length of your spray tan.
Your spray tan should last 5-10 days, it is important to keep your skin moisturized avoiding oil-based products.
Wear loose fitting clothing after your spray tan. Do not shower for at least 8-12 hours. Clients often find it best to sleep with their tan before rinsing. Avoid bras, socks, or other restrictive clothing. Cover car seats (especially leather) with a dark towel to prevent streaking or sweating.
During your first shower post-tan, you will see the cosmetic bronzers wash away, leaving you with beautiful bronzed skin underneath. Rather than rubbing your skin, pat dry with a towel after.
